While the summer heat beats down on us, many of the smaller menswear labels are putting the finishing touches on there Fall/Winter 11 collections. We all may assume that fashion brands live at least 2 seasons ahead, but for the smaller guys design comes much closer to the season at hand. For the newly relaunched Norman Hilton, much of design means looking back at the brands rich history. Much of what has been popular with the rise of American heritage brands has been the thoughtful reinterpretation of the old into something modern and elegant.

For the upcoming fall, the design and lookbook will be using the old New Yorker advertisements from the 60s for their inspiration.

Though the NFL season may be in jeopardy next year, fans of Michael Vick may have something to cheer about anyway. Nike has juist announced that the star player has re-signed with the company. There are currently no details of the deal, but his longtime agent, Joel Segal stated that, “Michael is excited to have a long-term and strong relationship with Nike.” With the past behind him, Nike has taken chance on the star athlete stating: “We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field.” With Nike becoming the official apparel supplier in April 2012 things could get pretty interesting.
