Up Close: Isaia F/W ’11

The Neapolitan tailoring team that is Isaia is back at it once again with their Fall/Winter 2011 offerings. Not to long ago, the Men of Habit team to a peek at what youll be seeing on the shelves of some of the best menswear stores in the countrymost notably Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman for those of you in the New York area. From our adventures inside the beautiful Isaia showroom, were happy to report that they. Have put together yet another wonderful season. While we sort expected to see a lot of light Mediterranean colors populating the collection, we were pleasantly surprised by the more tonal palette featuring lots of greens, browns, and even a wonderful burnt yellow that you can see on backside of many of the collars photographed below.

And while color is something were always interesting by when it comes to Isaia, where the really separate themselves from the rest is in their fabrics. They put a lot of time and effort into developing their wools and cashmeres and you can tell as soon as you give the fabric of their jackets a feel. Everything in the collection is so soft to the touch that even those less versed in menswear can understand why their product carries the price tag it does. Perhaps one of the most interesting details of F/W 11 is their introduction of a tartan that they had designed and registered with the Scottish Register of Tartansyou can see the tartan in a few different color ways throughout these photos.
