Men of Habit has served the menswear community for five months now and have loved every second of it. While we enjoy our little corner of the web, I have to admit that we have been itching to move into the physical world with a magazine for some time now. Luckily, weve gotten to know some really brilliant guys in the industry and have positioned ourselves to the point where we can put together what we think will be the best English language mens style magazine on the market. As many of you may have thought to yourself at one time or another, there really isnt anyone aside from The Rake and Inventory Magazine creating anything with a higher taste level than the GQs and Esquires of the worldand while those two magazines do many things well, theyre hard to find and are very niche in their aesthetic and writing style. What we hope to bring is something that can compete (and surpass) the quality of Japans best mens magazines at a price that is accessible for everyone.
As I said, we have a fantastic team going forward on this project. While I cant give away all of the guys that will be participating, you can be sure that G. Bruce Boyer, Derek Guy of Die Workwear!, F.E. Castleberry of Unabashedly Prep, and myself will all play big rolls in the final presentation. Right now, were in the process of trying to tie up the funds to finalize design and layout so that we can continue to roll forward. Weve launched a campaign on the awesome crowd investing website IndieGoGo and are excited to see how our project goes. Our goal is an attainable $8,000 with anything over that going toward raising the quality of our content and paying our writers above the industry standard. We couldnt be any more excited about the project and are confident in the success of our campaign. Remember, even a $1 donation helps us get closer to the final goal.
