In what has quickly turned into the World Series of Style, Pitti Uomo has shown us that even among the most classically-inspired fashionistos there will be peacocking. While on the one hand it appears that many of these designers, buyers, and writerscheck out our man on the ground, Zeph, abovesee Pitti as a glorified pissing contest, it seems that on the other hand we should appreciate a bit of adventuresome dressing and learn from both successes and failures alike. One of the most enjoyable trends that is arising over in Florence is a resurgence of the summer hat. Once a mainstay of the gentleman in the summer, its not something you see a lot of come summertime these days.

Whether youre going for something clean and crisp like the guys below or taking the more casual route like those above, a hat is a classy accessory that is a bit more fun than a pocket square or watch. If youre looking into your first hat, go for a clean Panama hat as its nice and crisp, but not too aggressive or sharp. For those with a little more experience, why not get aggressive like our friend above and let your dog spend a few of his lunch hours with your favorite piece. Hey, its just clothing, right?
