Ever since wrap coats appeared on the runways a few seasons ago in gorgeous shades of must-have camel and Ashley Olsen was spotted traipsing around NYC in her own version, the trend has been on my radar. Practical and versatile, the fall winter outerwear seemed like the ultimate addition into my any wardrobe. The trend forecast is announcing that this year, camel coats are bigger than ever meaning that runway approximations should be readily available, no? Well turns out Joanie and I are having a hard time coming by said outerwear.
Joanie deemed the trend almost impossible to track down, and perhaps never intended for the masses? While I decided to test her statement on a recent NYC jaunt, only to be met with complete disappointment (and her theory standing tall) after coming across only one camel coat– a Charlotte Ronson my entire trip (and we did our fare share of stores).
I’ve gathered a quartet of current models for the purpose of this post, some affordable and some less so, but they weren’t exactly an easy find. So we’re asking you: Are you loving the camel coats trend? Have you been able to find a model you’ll be wearing this season?
